Research
My research focuses on carbon flux scaling as a function of plant size and light environment. I am hoping to measure whole-plant carbon uptake and respiratory losses of several sets of closely related deciduous tree species that vary in shade tolerance. Comparisons of these measurements can provide information regarding the carbon balance and survival of each species and may therefore aid in determining whether compositional shifts will occur in these forests with time.
